Dog Training FAQs
What training methods do you use?
We use positive reinforcement methods, rewarding with food and life rewards.
Can we bring other family members to group classes?
Absolutely! We believe everyone in the household should be consistent with the commands and methods the dog understands. We do ask to limit attendance to the handler and 2 other members of the household.
How old should the handler be?
We require main handlers to be 16 years and older. Younger members are welcome to attend class and observe and learn!
Is my dog too old to come to classes?
​No dog is too old to learn! Though it is best to begin training your dog at an early age, sometimes this is not possible. For example, classes are a great way to bond with your newly acquired rescue dog. Many dogs do not begin Nose Work until later in their lives.
Can I observe a class?
You are welcome to visit and observe a class, to make sure it is the best fit for you and your dog. Please let us know ahead and we can schedule a time.
Do you offer private lessons?
We do offer private sessions in our facility on a case-by-case basis. Please call us at (336) 993-2178 for details.
What is your cancellation policy?
Refunds for class can be given up to 7 days before the class begins minus a $20 administration fee. Tuition will not be refunded 1 week before the first day of class.
