Do you need to go away for a few days and are not sure what to do with your canine companion? Many dog owners dislike the thought of leaving their dog in a traditional kennel. It is a strange place with minimal interaction with people and other dogs.

Dog-Gone Fun offers an alternative to traditional boarding. Our overnight guests are automatically a part of our daycare environment. They will play and romp in our recreation areas all day with our staff and their canine buddies and are split into play groups according to size and play style. All dogs receive a formal “quiet time” between 12-2 p.m. but are welcome to take an extra afternoon snooze on the couch if they choose!

When all our guests have spent their energy for the day, it is close to dinnertime at 6 p.m. From 5:30-6:00 p.m., all dogs enjoy a few after dinner stories and play. Yes, we actually tell the dogs stories. They love to listen! At 6 p.m. it is lights out at Dog-Gone Fun and all the dogs welcome the solitude of their personal kennels. We return at 9 p.m. for a potty break and the dogs are nestled in for the night.

Our Facility is secured by a monitored security system to keep your dog safe throughout the night. We also have a private web cam system that allows us to monitor all the dogs throughout the night. In the morning, it is up for breakfast and some more playmates.

Because your dog will be participating in our daycare activities, an evaluation is required before their overnight stay. When your dog arrives for boarding, they will be happy, eager to run and play with their peers and familiar with the environment and our staff.

Drop-off and Pick-up
Drop-off/Pick-up times
7-9 a.m. Mon-Sun
4-6 p.m. Mon-Sun

You will be charged both daycare and overnight care for the day that you drop your dog off. If you pick up your dog before 9 a.m., you will not be charged for daycare on that day.

*If ever possible we would like to have you drop off your dog in the morning. This gives them the entire day to acclimate, play and become tired. This will make their overnight stay smoother and more comfortable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I bring my own Food?

We encourage you to provide your dog’s food. By keeping your dog’s diet consistent, this will cut down on upset stomachs and intestinal upsets. We ask that you bring your dog’s food in the amount that they will need and slightly more. We like to avoid large bags or containers unless your dog is here for an extended stay because of a limited storage space. We can also accommodate special diets. We have both a refrigerator and microwave to make the perfect meal.

Can you administer Medications?

We can give both topical and oral medication upon request. When you arrive we will give you a standard form and we will go over the exact times and dosages together.

Can we bring toys and beds?

You are more than welcome to bring any personal items to make you dog feel comfortable and at home. We can give them to your dog during quiet time. We don’t like dogs to share their toys with their playmates because of guarding issues. If your dog tends to chew bedding, that behavior may increase in our setting. We are not responsible for torn or shredded toys and beds.

Does my dog need to be kenneled at night?

We kennel all dogs at night for their safety. Dogs are instinctually den animals and feel more secure in an enclosed area. To get a good restorative sleep it is important that your dog relax and know they will not be bothered by others. Your dog will be well rested and ready for the next day’s activities. If your dog is not used to being kenneled, or you have more than one dog, we have a limited number of pens that are available for use.
